Men Men Don Don

Hi guys! I'm back! Very sorry that I didn't post much this few days because i sprained my neck.... :(
But look at the bright side, I ate good food and I'm gonna do a review on it! My girlfriend and I went
to West Mall at Bukit Batok. It's located at level 1.

Its a small Japanese restaurant (It is really reall small) that sells ramen and dons. I was craving for some tonkatsu that day so we've decided to go there.

I ordered a curry tonkatsu. It cost about $8+. It didn't meet my expectation though, it was just a typical tonkatsu that I can have at a regular foodcourt. The pork was tough honestly and the curry was average.

This is the katsudon. It cost about $6+. The egg was awesome. The pork was the same though but the egg is just wonderful. This is really worth trying and i habe to say this again, the egg is AWESOME!!

So to sum up, this restaurant is worth trying as i looked at their ramens and their dons, they all look nice and please try to eat the katsudon if you want to make your taste buds enjoy!

Soleme Korean Cuisine Restaurant Hansik

Soleme Korean Cuisine Restaurant Hansik

Hi guys! Today I went to a Korean restaurant at SSC (Sembawang Shopping Centre). Actually it's not really a restaurant, it's just a place in a food court but it's quite fancy though.

When I arrived at this restaurant, the menu was not relatively big, it was just nice. There are quite a lot of choices for you guys to choose from.

My girlfriend ordered a Kimchi fried rice (Kimchi Bok Keum Bap) while i ordered a sizzling hot stone pot (Dolsot Bibim Bap) . It is not self service and the waiting is not more than 10 minutes. What more can i ask for? :)

This is the kimchi fried rice. I have to say it looks a little different from the normal kimchi fried rice we normally eat at food courts but I dare to say it's the authentic Korean food because the boss and lady boss are Koreans themselves. After my girlfriend and I tried it, it taste much better than i expected. Cause honestly, it doesn't look very nice but it taste much better than it looks. The egg is cooked to perfection. The kimchi was neither too spicy nor too sour. Actually it was more to the sour side.  This kimchi fried rice costs $8.90.

This is the sizzzling hot stone pot. Honestly, I've never eaten a Bibimbap before so i was very excited to taste it. I'm very sorry i forgot to take a picture before i mixed it because i was too hungry but this is how it looks after i mixed it with hot pepper paste. You can choose from chicken and beef for the meat. There quite a lot of veggies inside so if you are a carnivore, stay away from this. Honestly, this disappointed me actually because it was not as good as i expected but this is just my opinion and maybe i don't know how to enjoy this. I said that because many people enjoy this a lot. So this is the Sizzling hot stone rice that costs $9.80.

So to sum up this restaurant, it doesn't charge you any service charge or GST. The side dishes are awesome, especially the bean sprout soup! So just head over to SSC level two and enjoy a wide variety of Korean cuisine.
